Racing Games

Racing Games have been around for a fairly long time now, on computers, Nintendo’s, Xboxes, play stations and even Wii’s. As technology has improved over the last decade, the complexity and how realistic the games are have improved vastly. Several years ago you would be lucky to play a 2d game, but today its full on 3d games, with smart artificial intelligence, storylines to follow and other great things which make playing these games so enjoyable. They are a form of computer games which is extremely popular amongst people of all ages, because it takes skill to play them well, and is highly entertaining. Of course, depending on the console you are playing the game on the experience will vary, but its normally great fun. To run most of the newer Racing Games today, you need to have a computer which is fairly modern. If you constantly upgrade the games that you are playing, chances are that every few years you will also need a new computer to keep up with the increasing technology!

You can purchase steering wheels and pedals for computers, which even have feedback when you are driving along. For example, if you hit a wall then the steering wheel will vibrate and rip back out of your hands. This is just one example of the way that technology has improved over the last few years. The best part about using a steering wheel and pedals compared to a normal keyboard and mouse is that you have some control over the amount of steering and acceleration and braking that you apply. With most keyboards, braking and accelerating and even turning is either on or off, without any in between. Having a pedal and steering wheel means that you are able to break slowly and accelerate at different rates. This not only makes it more realistic, but much easier to control whatever you are racing. This is especially the case in Boating games.

Racing Games can involve boats, planes, motorbikes, all terrain vehicles, cars, trucks, hovercrafts and everything else in between. There is something for everyone. Some games involve completing a course in the fastest time, whilst others are multiplayer and have different techniques needed to win. These games are great fun, and can be played online with multiple people. Each different console has a dedicated set of followers, and every console I have played is great fun. They all have subtle (and sometimes massive) differences which set them apart. They are all highly enjoyable, and if you haven’t ever played Computer Games like this, I would highly recommend it!
