RC Monster trucks are probably the more popular part of RC Cars, because they are so much more capable in terms of the terrain that they can drive over, whilst not a lot of speed and power is actually lost. Even the heaviest Monster Trucks don’t weigh very much, and when you are running one or more motors powered by an extremely powerful fuel, they move faster than you would imagine. A Monster Truck is usually four wheel drive, which allows for more traction on sand and other terrains. This means that there is a little more involved, and more components to break, but its sure worth it! You can easily lock the axles of the Monster trucks, which means that even if one wheel comes off the ground, the other on that axle will continue to drive. Without the differentials locked, when a wheel on an axle leaves the ground, all of the power is transferred to the wheel with least resistance. This is the wheel in the ground, which means that effectively that axle will not be powering the car. Occasionally diagonal wheels will come off the ground, which means that the car is stuck without diff locks.

I have found a significant number of people who enjoy playing with RC monster trucks are involved in Four Wheel Driving in real cars. The idea behind applying it to a smaller model is helpful because it can teach you what lines to drive up in real life, why a car struggles and you are also having great fun at the same time! There are huge numbers of additional accessories which you can purchase for these beasts, including new suspension, upgraded motors, different wheels and tires, new exhausts and then all of the extra bits and pieces to make them look better.

These cars can either run on a fuel known as ethanol, or they are electric. They both have the ability to be extremely fast, and without a good driver, you can wreck a car within seconds. These cars are not cheap either. You can pick up a cheap one at a hobby store for a few hundred dollars, but if you start to get serious, its many hundreds of dollars to get a car which will perform well, and fix up anything that breaks. Because the motors are so powerful, it’s really easy to break things. This is especially the case if you try and jump things, which everyone does when they first get RC Monster Trucks or RC Cars.
