Camping

Camping has to be the most fun experience that you can have with your family. In fact, right at this moment I am sitting in my tent, down south and enjoying another camping experience. It’s easy to go out and stay at a hotel, motel or apartment, or house, but camping is a totally different experience. The most important thing to remember when camping is to be prepared for all circumstances. Camping can be made very unpleasant when you are not fully prepared for every type of weather, or you are missing cooking equipment or other important item.

I have memories of going camping and it rained for 72 hours straight. Our tents got flooded, and we had to sleep in the car. That was not a pleasant camping experience, but had we have been more prepared, we would have still had a very enjoyable time.  Camping is much, much cheaper than going out and staying in a house, apartment or hotel. Camping costs are almost nothing, except for fees and food, once you have purchased the camping equipment. These days, camping equipment can be purchased for such a cheap price that it is an option for all families.

Most waterproof tents these days have a plastic fly sheet on the outside, with breathable material on the inside. All the poles are aluminum or fiberglass, making them strong, reliable and light weight. Cooking equipment can be kept to a minimum and is not very expensive. Food is usually cheap, because it is similar to what you would eat at home (minus the takeaways), and this makes camping such a great activity to do.

My parents used to take us camping quite a lot, because it is highly affordable, and you can have such a great time. Why spend 150 dollars a night to stay at a nice hotel near the beach, when you can spend 20 dollars a night and stay ON the beach! It’s an awesome experience to wake up when camping on the beach, or overlooking a nice river or lake. This is a great factor which makes camping so enjoyable.

You won’t ever find a hotel in the middle of the bush, in pristine conditions, and the same is with many of natures beautiful places. Many of the great places in the world need to be camped at, because there are not facilities to do otherwise. Camping can be very comfortable if you do it regularly, and this is what makes it really enjoyable.

A four wheel drive makes camping so much easier. When hiking, everything you take needs to be weight conscientious, but if you can afford to take a four wheel drive, then your camping experience is much more simple and fun. When camping with a four wheel drive, you can throw in almost anything that you need, so the camping can be more luxurious.  Four wheel drives are make it easier to go camping because you can take more water, go to places further away, and fit almost anything in which you might need.

Four Wheel drives can be modified in many ways to make your camping experience easier and more comfortable. A rooftop tent is the main advantage of modifying your four wheel drive. These are basically tents for camping in that are on top of the car; out of the way of curious animals and mounted in a safe and comfortable way. These are great for conservation of space, meaning you can fit more of the luxuries in that you want for camping.

I know of people who set up their cars to tour the cold mountain ranges. It is possible to set up the back of your four wheel driving for camping in extreme conditions, with electric blankets, comfortable mattresses and anything else you might want. With technology these days, camping is made very easy. Inverters can now be plugged into the cars battery, and can run 240 watt appliances, such as lights, electric blankets and even fridges.

There is a lot to learn about camping, but also a lot of camping experts around. Camping is a popular activity throughout the world, and as a result there are many people who are willing to lend a hand. Ensure that you start small, and then work towards longer trips. If you are just a beginner, please don’t organize to go camping for two weeks straight; you are bound to forget things and make your trip unnecessarily harder and more expensive.

Camping can be done for just a single night, or for weeks at a time, depending on what you like doing. I often enjoy just spending a night on the beach, and waking up early to go for a fish. The reason that I enjoy camping the most is what you get to see. It is absolutely amazing the places in this world which are only visited by those who know about them. Many places are made available only to campers, and some only to hikers. It is such an experience to wake up meters from a pristine lake, where no one else exists for miles.

Camping allows you to stay at a particular place several days in a row, and fully enjoy the experience. I have camped in various places just because you can’t fit everything that you want to do into a single day. Camping extends the holiday, and allows you to take your time and fully soak it up. It is truly a great experience, so take the time and do a bit of research on camping. Camping is a cheap, fun experience for the whole family.
